Investing in the People Behind the Work: EQPAL Medical Team Building Day
At EQPAL Medical, our work is measured in shipments delivered, equipment installed, and hospitals supplied. But none of it happens without the people behind it — which is why we recently took a day away from the office for a full team building session.
A day outdoors
Our team traded warehouses, delivery schedules, and client calls for open grounds, group games, and a good deal of friendly competition. Structured activities ran through the morning, followed by group discussions and shared meals — an unstructured space for colleagues who normally interact over logistics updates to simply talk to one another.
Why we make time for this
Medical supply is an industry with little margin for miscommunication. A delayed shipment, a missed specification, or a breakdown between departments has consequences that reach patients. What prevents those failures is rarely a system — it is a team that communicates well under pressure, trusts one another’s judgement, and is willing to step in for a colleague without being asked.
That kind of working relationship is not built through process documents. It is built through time spent together.

EQPAL Medical brings together colleagues from across Kenya, Egypt, and beyond — reflecting a company whose roots span two countries and nearly two decades of experience in medical supply. Days like this are where that diversity becomes a shared culture rather than a set of separate teams working in parallel.
